Plein Air Painting
In the Summer Dr. Dave Russo invites Tahoe Art League (TAL) members and the public to join him for PLEIN AIR painting at scenic locations around Lake Tahoe and in the Sierra Mountains. All media are welcome. These are great locations for photographers as well. The sessions are Sunday mornings, from 9 am to 12 noon and are followed by a group critique. Bring your bag lunch. Occasionally the critique is held at a local restaurant. (Not for instruction, just for fun!) Schedule and maps are available at the TAL meeting or the Art Center. Call ahead if you need a ride. Meet to carpool at 8:15 am at the Art Center for Barn in Carson Valley, Gold Hill, Genoa, and Incline; at the “Y” (T.J. Maxx) for Rt. 89 N., Cathedral Meadows, Glen Alpine, and Garden at Boulder Mt.; at Meek’s Lumber in Meyers for Markleeville, the Iris Gardens, Hope Valley Resort, Mountain Cabin West of Echo Pass, Carson Pass, and Wood’s Lake.
